IMPORTANT FOR ENTRY INTO AUSTRIA:
THE 2G+ RULE FOR ENTRY INTO AUSTRIA
AND 2G RULE FOR CHECK IN!

  • VACCINATED:
The EU-compliant vaccination certificate (digital and/or paper format), the vaccination card and the yellow vaccination certificate which must be presented together with a valid ID at check-in count as proof of vaccination in the sense of the entry regulation. (NOTE: Vaccination by Johnson & Johnson is valid until January 3, 2022, after which a booster vaccination is required for proof of vaccination).

  • GENESIS:
A certificate of recovery is defined as a physician's or official certification (e.g., segregation notice) of an infection survived in the past 180 days.

  • THE + STANDS FOR:
In addition to the vaccinated or recovered certificate, a current PCR test or booster vaccination is required for entry into Austria. The entry is also possible without, but then an entry notification must be carried out and an immediate quarantine must be started. This is terminated by a negative PCR test result or booster vaccination. Children and adolescents of school age and children under 12 are exempt. (Effective Monday, December 20)
  • FFP-2 mask requirement:
Applies in enclosed indoor areas, retail, public transportation, customer areas, gondolas and coverable chairlifts.

  • Travel with children:
Children 12 years of age and younger do not need to complete the 2G requirement, nor do they need a PCR test
For all children between the ages of 12- to 15-years-old (school-age), the Corona Test Pass or Ninja Pass is valid as proof. To fulfill the further testing interval, we continue to test the children on site free of charge. So, through the Holiday Ninja Pass initiative, school age children do NOT need 2G+ proof
FFP-2 mask requirement applies to children 14 years of age and older, children between 7 and 14 may wear conventional mouth-nose protection, and mask requirement is waived for children 6 years of age and younger.
Children from Austria: The Ninja Passport is also valid as 2G proof for children between 12 and 15 years of age (no quarantine obligation).
Return travel to Germany with children: Current information can be found HERE>
