It all began with a small bed and breakfast ...

A handful of rooms, a generous dose of hospitality, and the desire to offer guests more than just a place to sleep. That’s how it all started. The B&B Bergland was the first step – but standing still wasn’t an option. Year after year, the house grew, and so did the vision: to create a place where people can arrive – and take flight.

1971

... the foundation for what was once “Bergland” is laid. A bed and breakfast with 30 beds is created, alongside a food and souvenir shop and a ski rental service.

1983

... the first steps towards relaxation and wellness are taken. A small, rustic sauna and a steam bath with a relaxation room and cold-water pool are created.

1985

... the next major step: 20 additional beds and the shift to half-board accommodation. From now on, the house is run as a hotel pension. The quality steadily improves.

1990

... the grocery store is closed for economic reasons. In its place, a very cosy and exclusive dining room is built.

1994

... we renovate the hotel. The cosy family and small castle apartments are added, along with the comfortable Bergland suites – perfect for cuddling and feeling at home. The sauna area is significantly expanded, with a gym and fitness room, various saunas, whirlpools, solariums, and the most important addition: the vitality area. The entrance area is redesigned to be inviting and spacious, with a bright tower garden and a welcoming fireplace lounge.

1995

A fantastic children's playground is created in the garden, complete with an Indian tent, a fire pit, and climbing trees.

1998

The greatest wish of owner Franz is fulfilled: a panoramic indoor pool is built. The pool is about 11 metres long and 6.5 metres wide, with a water temperature of 30°C. The pool features various attractions such as a floor bubble, a counter-current system, a neck waterfall, and a massage stream.

1999

With a considerable effort, the garden is expanded with a retaining wall along the stream, creating a spacious sunbathing area for the summer.

2000

A garage becomes necessary. Now, 40 cars can be accommodated over two levels. This structure will allow for future hotel expansions. At the same time, a second cosmetic room, a Hammam bath, and a separate reception for the wellness area are built.

2001

The hotel gets 20 more beds thanks to beautiful suites and apartments. The new construction also includes various wellness restaurants, a fitness house, a gym, and staff apartments. A lovely buffet room is created, the kitchen is expanded, the conference room is relocated, and a wonderful children’s paradise is set up. Furthermore, the sauna world is enhanced with a crystal cave and a sun valley.

2002

... we add new, amazing wellness treatment rooms.

2003

A long-desired staff house is finally realised. The “Steinbock” house in Vorderlanersbach is purchased. At the same time, 5 wonderful holiday apartments are created in the house, which can accommodate 15 to 20 staff members alongside 21 guests. The house is managed as “Steinbock Apartments”.

2004

The Fit 4 Fun house is modernised, and the latest cardio equipment from Technogym is now available to guests. Various modifications are also made in the wellness area and café.

2005

An outdoor saltwater whirlpool is installed (36°C with 4% salt content), the sauna area is redesigned (Tyrolean pine wood sauna, herbal bio-sauna – each with excellent lighting effects, ice grotto), and a new guest room is built.

2008

The wellness concept shifts towards romance, and the Wellnesshotel Bergland becomes the Romantikhotel Bergland. With a complete renovation of all rooms and public areas, the new concept is implemented. In the same year, on 1 June, our sunshine Martin is born, bringing life, happiness, and immense joy to Bergland.

2010

On 25 January 2010, our little girl Anna Stock is born. Now the little family is complete, and parents Barbara and Günther could not be happier.

2014

Finally, the time has come. On 13 September 2014, the wedding bells ring. Barbara and Günther get married in a civil ceremony.

2019

Bergland becomes Adler Inn – Tyrol Mountain Resort.

Together with the advertising agency “Diana Consulting”, a cool, bold, and lively concept is created. With the motto “We are different”, the hotel undergoes a full renovation. 24 rooms are redesigned according to the new colour and feel-good concept, and 25 rooms receive a beautiful renovation in the Adler Inn style. A large portion of the wellness treatment rooms is transformed into sauna and relaxation areas. Two stunning panoramic saunas with glacier views are created, along with the long-awaited direct access to the fresh air area and a spacious, light-filled relaxation room. Additionally, for the first time in Hintertux, a modern cinema is built in a hotel, offering entertainment on rainy days. With the new concept, the Stock family stands out again, and the name “Adler Inn” becomes a renowned term for top-class and authentic hospitality, well beyond the region.

2021

The 50th anniversary is celebrated in style. Many loyal guests, who have supported us for years and become dear friends, visit us to celebrate this special event together.

2022

Since 2022, a backup generator provides additional safety, and energy is efficiently used thanks to heat recovery.
