A magical New Year’s Eve in the Tyrolean mountains

You come in, brush the snow off your jacket, and feel anticipation already crackling in the air. A small bottle of Champagne is waiting in your room – to get your evening off to an indulgent start. Later, the gala menu will take you by the hand: plate after plate, fine and seasonal, accompanied by a lovingly prepared appetiser buffet. You chat, you savour, you smile – no haste, just pure enjoyment.

As midnight approaches, things get livelier. The DJ mixes your favourite songs, glasses clink at the bar, and the stars twinkle outside. At quarter past midnight, the sky comes alive with a large sound and firework display right in front of Adler Inn that lights up the mountains. Then it’s time for a bite from the midnight buffet -– savoury, sweet, just the thing after all the celebratory hugs.

The morning of 1 January is gentle and friendly. New Year’s brunch until 11 a.m., especially good for anyone nursing a hangover: homemade bread, regional cheese selection, jams, fresh egg dishes, and many other little treats. If you like, you can immerse yourself in the warmth of the 2,000m² Mountain Spa before or after – with a panoramic event sauna and (two evenings a week) Spa Night until 11 p.m. Alternatively, take time to pause in the heated outdoor pool and let your gaze wander over the white slopes.

Everything also feels light and bright around Adler Inn: the shuttle takes you to the slopes in just 4 minutes, the sports bus runs every 20 minutes. There’s guided skiing with local experts – perhaps even leaving the first tracks of the morning – a high-altitude safari, or deep snow tours – whatever suits you best.
